First opened in 2000, M1 Adana is the largest and most popular shopping centre serving the Turkish city of Adana and the region. To maintain its mar ket leadership, improve the quality of the customers’ time in the centre and meet all the requirements of modern-day life, METRO PROPERTIES planned a comprehensive modernisation together with the FİBA Commercial Properties, which was successfully concluded in spring 2017. One of the most striking architectural features of the M1 Adana shopping centre, which was designed by the renowned Spanish architecture firm L35, is its concept of being a space for shopping and city life.

Designed to meet the expectations of modern life, M1 Adana stands out as a new-generation shopping center with its predominantly green areas, the chance it offers to take in the fresh air and in its indoor spaces, the advantages of benefiting to the maximum from natural daylight. M1 Adana hosts 200 national and international brands all situated on a leasable area of 90,000 square meters. Targeting a transformation that proposes to provide more expansive service to a rapidly expanding city, M1 Adana will continue to be a center of life and living.

One of the most striking architectural features of M1 Adana, designed by the Spanish architectural firm L35, is its concept of being a space for both shopping and city living. Adopting a modern approach to the local values of Mediterranean architecture, the shopping complex has been designed as the living core of a city. The creative team that put together the architecture of M1 Adana belongs to one of the best architectural firms in Europe, a company that was founded by Jos Galán.
